Are there old photos or brochures from Lavallée Lake?
Are there historical photographs, brochures or memories of the former tent-and-trailer camp at Lavallée Lake?

Go to the Facebook page: Bancroft and Area History and search for Lavallee.
My family camped there throughout the 70s.

The strongest documentary lead I could verify is in the Community Archives of Belleville and Hastings County (CABHC) catalogue.[2] A Discover search result indexes an item titled Lavalee Lake Park Museum and describes it as a private museum at Scotts’ Lavallee Lake Park, containing pioneer items collected by J Russell Scott of Belleville.[2] That is a promising lead for photographs, brochures or memories, but the catalogue result does not establish that the material is digitized, still extant, publicly accessible, or the same operation as the former tent-and-trailer camp.[unverified]
Online evidence
The Ask Bancroft page has one short community answer directing readers to the “Bancroft and Area History” Facebook page and reporting a family memory of camping at Lavallée Lake in the 1970s.[1] The page also displays four image attachments with that community answer, but their captions, provenance, date, location and identification as photographs of the former camp are not independently verified.[unverified]
Use both spellings when searching: Lavallée and Lavallee, plus Scotts’ Lavallee Lake Park, Lavallee Lake Park Museum, J Russell Scott, tent and trailer camp and campground.[unverified]
Next step
CABHC says its collections include photographs, maps, newspapers and other Hastings County materials, and that researchers can search Discover; where an item is not digitized, the Archives asks people to contact them about whether it can be added to the catalogue.[3] Ask CABHC specifically for the full catalogue record behind the Lavalee Lake Park Museum result, any associated photographs, printed brochures, finding aids, donor notes or copyright information, and whether the item refers to the same Lavallée Lake in Faraday Township.[unverified]
If the question also concerns the camp’s land or ownership history, CABHC links researchers to ONLAND for historic land-registry information.[3][4] Land records may help establish names, dates and parcel history, but they will not by themselves prove that photographs or promotional brochures survive.[unverified]
Bottom line: I could not verify an independently captioned, publicly catalogued old photograph or brochure in the sources reviewed.[unverified] The CABHC catalogue lead for a private museum at Scotts’ Lavallee Lake Park is the most useful documented route currently available; access, digitization, copyright, archive holdings and any private Facebook material should be confirmed before publication or reuse.[unverified]
