Can anyone suggest a mover for a move to Bancroft?

Can anyone suggest a mover for a move to Bancroft?

I am moving to Bancroft and would prefer a local mover rather than paying travel mileage from another town. Can anyone suggest a company that serves the area?

One company that specifically advertises service in the Bancroft area is Men In Trucks Moving Inc..[7]

It is based in Ottawa, not Bancroft, but its area page says it serves Bancroft, Maynooth, Birds Creek and Hastings Highlands.[7] The page says its flat-rate pricing includes the trip out and currently lists 2 movers plus a truck at $750 plus tax for the first three hours, then $150 per hour; 3 movers plus a truck at $950 plus tax for the first three hours, then $195 per hour.[7]

Those prices and service-area claims come from the mover's own page, so ask for a written quote for the exact pickup and delivery addresses, inventory, stairs or access issues, date and crew size.[7] Ontario recommends getting at least three written estimates and says moving companies are not provincially licensed; the Government of Canada also recommends getting the costs and terms in writing and confirming insurance before committing.[60][53]

If hiring a full-service mover does not fit the budget, a self-move is another option.[9] U-Haul lists Northern Fire, 27812 Hwy 28 S in Bancroft, as a Neighborhood Dealer for moving and packing supplies; ask U-Haul directly what vehicle availability and pickup arrangements apply.[9]

Checked September 11, 2026. Availability, prices, insurance coverage and booking terms can change, so confirm them directly before booking.[7][9] This is a starting point for comparison, not a guarantee or endorsement.
