Welcome to our guide to the local parks of Bancroft, Ontario! Here we highlight the local parks you can visit in town. Whether you’re want to go for a picnic, walk/hike, fish, or simply relax along the York River, you’ll find plenty of options to choose from.
Millennium Park
Millennium Park has a short walking trail, picnic benches, band-shell, public washrooms, and a water tap. The park is not far from downtown Bancroft and there is parking on location. There is a nice view of the York River with a bridge connecting biking/walking trails.

Riverside Park & Freedom Skate Park
Riverside Park is located beside the York River. It consists of a playground and Bancroft’s Freedom Skate Park.

Cenotaph Park
A nice spot for a picnic.
Location: The corner of Station Street & River Street.
No Leash Dog Park
A great place to let your pet run and enjoy the outdoors.
Location: Newkirk Blvd (beside the North Hastings Community Centre)
Birds Creek Park
The Birds Creek Park has a kids playground, picnic tables under a gazebo, and washrooms.

Churchill Park
Churchill Park is located along the York River, and is a lovely little spot to stretch your legs, have a picnic, or walk your dog. There is also an area to launch your canoe or kayak.
